IMPACT OF RISK TOLERANCE AND FINANCIAL LITERACY ON INVESTMENT DECISIONS IN CHINA’S SMART HEALTHCARE EQUITY MARKET

The rapid development of China’s smart healthcare sector has attracted significant private equity investments. However, investor decision-making in this market is influenced by various factors, including risk tolerance and financial literacy. This study examines the impact of these factors on investment choices in China’s smart healthcare equity market. Using a mixed-method approach that incorporates quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews, we analyze investor behaviour, assess the role of financial knowledge in risk assessment, and explore how different risk tolerance levels affect investment strategies. The findings suggest that higher financial literacy leads to more informed and diversified investments, while risk tolerance significantly influences the willingness to invest in high-growth but volatile smart healthcare firms. The study provides insights for policymakers, fund managers, and individual investors to optimize investment strategies in the rapidly evolving healthcare technology sector.
