WORKPLACE DYNAMICS AND JOB SATISFACTION: MEASURING NURSES’ SATISFACTION IN TERMS OF WORK ENVIRONMENT, LEADERSHIP SUPPORT, COMPENSATION, AND PROFESSIONAL GROWTH

Background: Effective nursing leadership is important to ensure the high-quality patient care, promote teamwork, and enhance a healthy work environment. The nurse managers have an essential role in leading the healthcare teams, making ethical choices, and striking a balance between administrative and clinical tasks. Authentic leadership, which includes self-awareness, relational transparency, internalized moral perspective, and balanced processing, has been associated with enhanced job satisfaction, performance, and retention of nurses. Yet, issues like communication barriers, ethical conflicts, and differences in leadership support can affect the application of these leadership traits. This research seeks to assess the leadership styles of nurse managers, determining strengths and weaknesses to improve healthcare management and nursing outcomes.

Result: The findings reveal that the nurse managers demonstrate a high level of leadership in characteristics, especially to a ethical decision-making and balanced processing, but also need to improve in developing an open communication and relational transparency. The nurses are also highly satisfied with their working environment, compensation, and career development opportunities provided for them, which enhance their overall job motivation and retention in the organization. These results is to reinforce the significance of leadership to development and favourable workplace environments in improving the nursing outcomes.

Conclusion: Nurse managers demonstrate strong leadership and decision-making, though improvements in transparency and communication are needed. Supportive work conditions, fair compensation, and professional growth opportunities contribute to job satisfaction and retention, highlighting the need for continuous leadership development.
