STATISTICS AND THE SCIENCE OF PROBABILITY IN TODAY’S ENVIRONMENT

Today, ostensibly like never before previously, the world is administered by the science of probability and statistics. “Huge information” is presently the standard in scientific research, with terabytes of information streaming into research centers from satellites and trial facilities, investigated by supercomputers. “Information mining” is currently an essential piece of mathematical finance and business the executives. Numerous popular opinion polls, expertly examined, guide the political field. Coronavirus infection rates, vaccination levels and factors are a staple of daily newscasts. However general society overall remains mostly uninformed about the basic principles of probability and statistics. All the more for the most part, general society is to a great extent uninformed that arguments based on probability and statistics are full of numerous likely fallacies and errors, and that unless considerable consideration is taken, such arguments are almost certainly invalid. RISK MANAGEMENT FOR HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION ON PEDAGOGICAL ADVANCEMENT

Technology in education allows students to learn more in less time and allows schools to focus on global learning environment.  However, as change happens, the risk becomes an integral part of it.  Thus, this paper promotes an IT Risk Management Scheme to Higher Educational Institution to explore the different risks that the teachers are facing in teaching and learning.  A quantitative approach was used and there were fifty-three (53) teachers responded to the survey questionnaire on the encountered risks in integrating technology in the classroom.  The results were analyzed through descriptive research methods such as frequency percentage, mean, and rank, and a 3-point Likert scale was used in determining the risk level.  Results showed that 85% of the instructors identified the malware as a high risk encountered in integrating technology in the teaching-learning process.  Some of the IT risks encountered include technical hardware failure, lack of internet connection, software failure, corruption of data, misuse of devices, and human error.  On the other hand, mitigation identified were as follows:  bringing their pocket wi-fi (according to 55% of the respondents) backing up data to avoid data loss, looking towards the five-year development plan, installing a quality anti-virus, planning and procuring ahead of time to avoid delay, allowing teachers and students to borrow technologies that are available in school and asking for technical support if something needed to troubleshoot.  Since technology integration in HEI has become an important aspect of successful teaching, it is necessary to adapt the IT risk management scheme, that is, to identify, evaluate, monitor, and mitigate risks.

In contradiction of this framework, the article is a debate of the works over the International Public Administrations in International Relations and public administration. We set up inspiration, authority, and independence of global establishments have been extensively tackled and aided to enhanced understand the activity of such non-governmental actors in worldwide strategy-making. Strategy design should be based upon data that is extremely cumulated, not comprehensive, and not proposing clear options.

A reduced amount of care has been given to the vital macro-level setting of policy for organizational groups, in spite of the significance in International Relations and the PA scholarship. We suggest a concentration over the action and politics as prospect opportunities for an inclusive, cooperative study for global administrations.

Likewise, the study will also determine the system’s usability in terms of system usefulness, information quality, interface quality, and overall usability and develop a user’s manual. The study utilizes the developmental-descriptive method of research. The Post-Study System Usability Questionnaire (PSSUQ) a standardized instrument was used for the overall system usability. The functionality evaluation revealed that the developed system passed all test cases for its technical features.  The system’s usability revealed a satisfactory evaluation in terms of system usefulness, information quality, interface quality, and overall usability. This implies that the evaluators are satisfied with the developed system and thus ready for use. A user’s manual guided the users on operating and making the most of the system’s capabilities. NAVIGATING STUDENTS’ EXPERIENCES IN ASYNCHRONOUS ONLINE LEARNING MODALITY

Background and Objective: The Philippine education system requires higher education students to enroll six units of National Service Training Program (NSTP) course as mandated by the Republic Act 9163. Specifically, the NSTP 2 course serves as the culmination where students have to immerse themselves in the community. However, the pandemic situation in the country resulted in temporary closures of schools, thus, higher education institutions resorted to other means of teaching and learning delivery, such as asynchronous online learning modality. This study, therefore, aims to deeply understand the lived experiences of ten selected NSTP 2 students in an asynchronous online learning approach.

Methods and Findings: A qualitative research method, particularly a phenomenological research design, was utilized by the researcher to interview ten purposively selected NSTP 2 students. Guided by the semi-structured interview questionnaires, three themes were revealed in this study: learning autonomously, reflective learning engagement, and feeling of helplessness and alone. Interestingly, the findings highlighted that learning the NSTP course in an asynchronous online learning modality developed their sense of responsibility and reflective thinking skills as the participants learned the process of navigating the pace of their learning. Meanwhile, there were also cases of a feeling of loneliness or isolation since there was limited to poor facilitator-student and student-student interactions.

Conclusion: This study is a good attempt to understand the learning journey of selected NSTP 2 students under the asynchronous online learning modality. Nevertheless, this will provide institutional policymakers to revisit the course, hence, ensuring to maintain the positive feedback from the students and addressing the areas that need to be improved.
